Le Pin 1995 750mL

1995 Le Pin - Hedonist's Gazette - Fleur de Lys, June 2007: Even though it is virtually all Merlot, the 1995 Le Pin still seems like a 3-4 year old wine. Wonderful mocha, black cherry liqueur, smoke, and meaty notes jump from the glass of this deep ruby/purple-tinged offering. Medium to full-bodied with firm tannin (a characteristic of this vintage), this youthful Pomerol appears to have another 20-25 years of life ahead of it. Unlike the 1996 La Tche, there is more than sufficient flesh, depth, and intensity to stand up to the wines structure and wood.
