2007 Sine Qua Non - Wine Advocate #190 - Aug 2010:The extraordinary 2007 Grenache Pictures, which was released several months ago, is a blend of 87% Grenache, 11.5% Syrah, and 1.5% Viognier. It exhibits abundant floral notes intermixed with notions of camphor, black cherries, black raspberries, blacker fruits, and graphite. Voluminous, expansive, and savory in the mouth, with sweet, silky, well-integrated tannin as well as superb purity and freshness, it effortlessly cascades over the palate with no hint of heaviness. This beautiful wine is further evidence that no greater Grenache is being made in the New World than that of Manfred Krankl. It should drink well for a decade or more.
