Ace of Spades - Brut Rose

We’ve got Champagne on the brain on this fine Friday morning. Rose Champagne from Armand de Brignac, to be specific. We have the LOWEST price in the United States and just in time for the holidays!

Armand de Brignac is a prestige Champagne brand owned by the Cattier family. The family has a rich history as an elite Champagne house in the tiny village of Chigny les Roses as they have owned and cultivated family vineyards since 1763. Today, Patriarch Jean-Jacques Cattier oversees the Chateau's wine production with strictly limited annual yields, ensuring that the family's artisanal winemaking traditions are kept alive in each bottle.

The Cattier cellars are among the deepest and oldest in the Champagne region and are classified by the Comité Interprofessional du Vin de Champagne and the Institut National des Appellations d'Origine. They have three styles of architecture represented in the caverns: Gothic, Renaissance, and Roman. Armand de Brignac is aged in a special, gated section of the deepest part of these cellars, 119 steps underground.

This particular bottle of pink bubbly is composed of 50% Pinot Noir, 40% Pinot Meunier and 10% Chardonnay. On the nose, notes of strawberries, currants and cherries with floral hints and a touch of sweet almond. On the palate, the Pinot Noir offers a ton of structure with flavors of black fruits & hints of baked pastry. An absolute delight and one that deserves to be in your glass this holiday season!

As the weather cools off and we get into the winter months, our palates start to gravitate towards richer, more full-bodied wines. What we love about Champagne, particularly Rose Champagne, is that it perfectly straddles the line of structured and multi layered but still refreshing and crisp. Drink it on its own or pair it with a variety of dishes, it’s extremely versatile and food friendly.

We are able to offer these to you at the lowest price in the country – Grab a few bottles and thank us later!

The second cuvée, launched approximately three years after the Gold bottle. Fifteen percent of red wine from Cattier’s own vineyard in Montagne de Reims is added to the final blend, which is made from the 2009, 2010 and 2012 vintages. It's made from 50% Pinot Noir, 40% Pinot Meunier and 10% Chardonnay. There's an abundance of dark fruit with notes of black cherry and blackcurrant. While full bodied, it's fresh, pure and vibrant, with delicate red fruits. The tangy acidity keeps the wine energised and fresh. Like the Gold Brut, it feels much drier than its 8.5g/l dosage. –Decanter, 93

A mouthwatering rosé Champagne, with a lively bead, this offers savory notes of slivered almond and fleur de sel along with layers of ripe raspberry and black cherry fruit, star anise and orange peel flavors. Delivers a lasting, vibrant finish. –Wine Spectator, 92

The Armand de Brignac NV Brut Rosé is an intense salmon colored blend of 50% Pinot Noir, 40% Pinot Meunier and 10% Chardonnay sourced in the Montage de Reims, Côte des Blancs and Valée de la Marne and comprises the vintages of 2009, 2010 and 2012. The bouquet is intensely fruity yet clear, fine and well-defined. Full-bodied, round, vinous and elegant on the palate, this cuvée reveals a grippy mineral freshness and lingering structure. Persistent finish. Powerful yet pure. The cooler the better. –Robert Parker, 90
