Harlan Estate Magnums

"Harlan Estate might be the single most profound red wine made not just in California, but in the world."
Robert M. Parker, Jr., The Wine Advocate

One cannot talk about Napa Valley without mentioning Harlan. Founded in 1984, Bill Harlan’s 240-acre slice of heaven is known for producing some of the most coveted and collected wines in the world. For nearly 40 years now, they have been committed to creating a California ‘First Growth’ wine estate. In our personal and professional opinion, they are doing just that. We have found these wines to possess incredible depth, structure and age ability – everything one would look for when collecting.

The magnum collection we have below is incredible and filled with gems to bring and share with your friends. After all...opening magnums shows you care! The 2018 3-Pack is priced the best in the world while the next lowest 1.5L in the world is $3,600 and would put you at over $10,800 for a 3-pack!

2003 Harlan Estate

"One of the most backward yet promising wines of the vintage is the 2003 Harlan Estate. Its dense opaque plum/purple color is accompanied by a sumptuous bouquet of graphite, camphor, creme de cassis, smoky barbecue wood and a hint of forest floor. Similar flavors hit the mouth with full-bodied splendor, a multidimensional mouthfeel and texture, and the sensational finish lasts more than 45 seconds."

2010 Harlan Estate

"The 2010 Harlan Estate is a total head-turner. Powerful, dense and exotically ripe – as so many wines are in this vintage – the 2010 dazzles with magnificent intensity. Baritone inflections run through the black cherry, graphite, smoke, tar and licorice flavors. Heat spikes at the end of what was generally a cold growing season yielded wines that bring together structure and fruit density."

2017 Harlan Estate

"Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2017 Harlan Estate needs a little coaxing to reveal captivating iron ore, red currant jelly, cloves and crushed rocks scents with a core of warm cassis, Black Forest cake and boysenberries plus a waft of pencil lead. Medium to full-bodied, it has a firm, grainy texture with a lively backbone and loads of earthy layers, long and mineral laced. This should be one of the longer-lived wines coming out of the 2017 vintage."

2018 Harlan Estate

"Stunning on every level, the 2018 Harlan Estate reveals a dense purple hue as well as an incredible bouquet of crème de cassis, graphite, crushed stone, iron, violets, and tobacco. Reminding me of a hypothetical blend of Ducru Beaucaillou and Pontet Canet from a great, classical vintage (or a more elegant version of the 2013 for simplicity), it's medium to full-bodied, perfectly balanced, powerful yet elegant, and has a finish that won't quit. This is pure gold in Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. It’s already drinkable yet will benefit from 4-6 years of bottle age and have 40 years of prime drinking"
