Wine bottles on display in and out of wooden case

Dominus is one of the "Classic Style" producers that has created some legendary wines in the last 30 years. Today, we have a great parcel of awesome back vintages that are in a great drinking window at the lowest prices.

DO NOT MISS - Extremely rare 3-PK of 1.5L of the 1994 vintage in which Robert Parker said the "wine possesses super intensity, great flavor and richness, medium body, and a finish that lasts for nearly 45 seconds." (RP99).

Then you have the legendary 2013 Dominus in which it was a spectacular vintage for Napa Valley all around but Dominus took their wine making to a whole new level. The Saint-Emilion & Pomerol mastermind, Christian Moueix, has been working at the  legendary Yountville's Napanook Vineyard for over 20 years. "The 2013 Dominus is, to my way of thinking, one of the most profound wines Christian Moueix has yet made" (RP100).

1994 DOMINUS

"Production from the 124-acre Napanook Vineyard reached 6,500 cases in 1992 and 10,000 cases in 1994, a figure this winery has been building toward since the debut releases of 1983 and 1984. The 1994 Dominus is a clone of the other-worldly 1991. A true black beauty, this opaque black-colored wine reveals the vintage's hallmark characteristics - remarkably pure, sweet black fruits that have achieved perfect ripeness. The wine possesses super intensity, great flavor and richness, medium body, and a finish that lasts for nearly 45 seconds. There are no hard edges, and the wine seems drinkable already. It will be bottled in May, 1996 and released in 1997. It is a candidate for 25-30 years of aging. It appears that Christian Moueix has settled into an identifiable Dominus style (the lavish ripeness routinely achieved in northern California, with the texture of a great Pomerol) since the 1990 vintage. Although older vintages have a similarity to more recent vintages, the older wines possess harder tannin than is present today. The 1993 crop was declassified and sold off in bulk, surprising in view of the fact that many great 1993 Napa Cabernets were produced." - 99 Pts Robert Parker

2013 DOMINUS

"The 2013 Dominus is, to my way of thinking, one of the most profound wines Christian Moueix has yet made in his rather brilliant winemaking history, both in France and in Napa Valley. This wine, with very low yields of only 3,500 cases and a final blend of 89% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Petit Verdot and 4% Cabernet Franc, offers up notes of cedar wood, forest floor, loamy soil and oodles of blackberry and blackcurrant fruit. Very opaque purple in color, super-pure and intense, this wine has low acidity, but ripe, noticeable tannins. This is a 30- to 40-year wine and a profound effort from this famous vineyard in Yountville. Drink it over the next 40+ years. " -100 Pts Robert Parker
