Sine Qua Non

Since launching Sine Qua Non in 1994, Manfred and Elaine Krankl have utilized Rhone varietals to produce some of the most unique and exciting wines out of California. Typically, when we discuss California Cult wineries, we mean California Cult Cabernets, but SQN is firmly in the cult category and made it there by delighting wine collectors and critics with their beautiful renditions of Syrah, Grenache, Viognier and Roussanne.

Some people have been on the waiting list for over 8 years without any luck on receiving an allocation. We can solve that problem by offering you an abundance of back vintages, large formats, and even some rare Eleven Confession OWC's.

If you want to experience a wine that is singular and consistent with highly rated scores, you need to drink Sine Qua Non. Robert Parker even mentioned that some of the great Syrah's from SQN is a "tip of the cap" to the great Guigal!
