"Much like the Gros Frère 2000 Richebourg (see herein), this is also still sufficiently oak influenced to merit pointing out though there is less of the smoky quality on the fully mature nose of anise, sandalwood, exotic tea and dried violet scented nose. There is fine richness if only average density to the medium-bodied flavors that possess a velvety texture before culminating in a sappy, mildly warm and fully resolved finale. While fully mature, this appears to be holding well. Though a perfectly good wine, this vintage isn't one of Anne Gros' finest." - Burghound, BH92, tasted 4/2024
