"Saturated bright full ruby to the rim. Ineffable scents of black raspberry, graphite minerality, flowers, licorice and spices. A sweet, pliant, mouthfilling midweight with expressive dark raspberry, spice and soil flavors framed and enlivened by harmonious acidity; as much red (volcanic?) as black in its fruit character. Wonderfully juicy, sappy, delineated wine; not at all weighty or fat. Utterly smooth tannins carry the fruit on the very long, rising aftertaste.
