"Moderate reduction presently dominates the fruit and even aggressive swirling did little to dissipate it. Otherwise there is impressive richness and volume to the concentrated, caressing and velvety middle weight flavors that culminate in a firm and built-to-age finish. This isn't the most elegant vintage for the Hudelot RSV and the nose does not at all resemble that example that I originally reviewed. What is impossible to predict is whether the reduction will eventually be replaced by something more interesting or whether it is permanent.
