Liger Belair la Romanee 2002 750mL

"An adroit but hardly invisible application of wood frames stunningly elegant, perfumed and dazzlingly complex spicy and overtly floral black fruit aromas that display only the barest trace of secondary development. There is excellent underlying tension and ample minerality to the sappy, mouth coating, powerful and very deep middle weight flavors that possess terrific depth and genuinely astonishing length. But it's the seamless harmony, superb purity of expression and sheer class that distinguishes this beauty. While this could be approached now with 30+ minutes of air, I would be inclined to give it at least another 5 to 8 years first. In a word, breathtaking. Tasted four times recently with consistent notes." - Burghound, BH95, tasted 8/2017
