"Hints of wood toast and petrol add breadth to the ripe, elegant and admirably pure nose of citrus confit, jasmine tea, acacia, lavender and assorted white orchard fruit. There is excellent richness to the full-bodied and opulent but focused big-bodied and imposingly powerful flavors that also possess plenty of dry extract while exhibiting huge length on the compact, serious and built-to-age finale that is borderline tannic. This isn't as refined as the Demoiselles though it is more powerful. I would add that for the moment the Demoiselles is the more harmonious wine, and it seems clear that it's going to take a while for the Montrachet to get through its adolescence." - Burghound, BH95, tasted 6/2022
