Masseto 1990 1.5L

"The 1990 Masseto is a gorgeous wine that captures the essence of a vintage that yielded so many flamboyant reds. Now fully mature, the 1990 offers up an enticing mélange of blood orange, tobacco, mint, dried herbs, pipe tobacco and cedar. I would prefer to drink it over the next few years, as there is no upside to be had from cellaring bottles at this point. Tonight, the 1990 is positively stellar. The 1990 spent 14 months in barrel, normal for the era." - Vinous, AG96, tasted 1/2018
