"The 2014 Echezeaux Grand Cru has a well-defined bouquet: dark berry fruit, loam, forest floor and truffle scents, expressive once given rigorous aeration (though decanting would benefit the aromatics no end.) The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grain tannins, mainly black fruit laced with graphite and tar, with hints of licorice towards the end.
