'Five years ago, I encountered a somewhat soft bottle of Raveneau's 2008 Chablis 1er Cru Butteaux, but this example was much better, exhibiting aromas of sweet orchard fruit, orange oil, beeswax and oyster shell, followed by a medium to full-bodied, satiny and precise palate, concluding with a chalky finish.
